The Smith Alumni House
Located at Philadelphia and Superior Streets, the Smith Alumni House features four guest suites, each with a private bathroom. Guests share access to a first-floor kitchen and living room for a comfortable, independent stay.
Small gatherings in the common areas may be permitted with prior approval when the entire house has been reserved. An additional cleaning fee may apply.
Our team may access shared common areas as needed for housekeeping, maintenance, or property care.
My stay was fabulous! The place was immaculately clean and the opportunity to have tea, regular and decaffeinated coffee was so awesome! Loved even the popcorn. What a wonderful place to stay and very well organized!
The Class of 1980/Altman House
The Altman House offers a cozy, independent stay with all the comforts of home. Located at the corner of Philadelphia and Center Streets, this house features three guest rooms—each with a private, attached bathroom. Guests share access to a first-floor living room, kitchen, and laundry room.

…The location is super close to Starbucks, an amazing local brewery and more! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Alma!
Housekeeping, Shared Spaces & Comfort
- We ask that guests clean up after themselves in shared spaces like the kitchen and living room to help keep things tidy for everyone.
- Temperature is centrally controlled throughout the properties and cannot be adjusted individually in each guest room.
- Reservations of four or more consecutive nights include one complimentary mid-stay refresh. Additional housekeeping services may be available upon request.

- Interested in getting some fresh air? The Fred Meijer Heartland Trail runs through campus and is a 42 mile, paved trail that connects the cities of Alma and Greenville in rural, central Michigan. It is open to non-motorized use year round.

I really enjoyed the Smith House, and the Stone Recreation Center at the college. This is what a small town should be.
