Campus Recreation

Meet People. Have Fun. Reduce Stress!

Whether you want to join a group fitness class, set your own pace on the indoor track, get your heart pumping on a cardio machine, pump iron, play a game of basketball (or volleyball or tennis or floor hockey), or play an intramural sport, we’ve got something for you.

Playing sports recreationally through Alma College’s intramural sports is a great way to do all of the above — for free! Intramural sports are open to all Alma College students, faculty, and staff, giving you the opportunity to exercise with all of your friends.

Intramural Sports

Alma offers the following intramural sports: flag football, basketball, and volleyball in the fall semester and dodgeball and softball in the winter semester.

Interested in participating in more than one intramural sport during the season? No problem. While play dates are subject to change throughout the season, game times are set to make sure there are no schedule conflicts.

To sign up for an intramural sport, visit the Stone Center for Recreation in person or view the link below.

The Alma High School pool has the amenities and ability to offer a consistent experience for Alma community open swim. With recent renovations, they will be able to provide an efficient set-up for access to the pool as well as ease of use for all ages to enjoy!

Please see below for more details and information:

Existing memberships - If you have had a membership for 2 months or less, your membership will be honored by Alma High School. Anyone with 3+ months left on their membership will be sent a refund from Alma College.
New memberships - You will be able to purchase memberships from the high school to use during open swim; they will offer day passes as well as monthly memberships. They are working to become a SilverSneakers official partner.
Open swim hours - Alma High School plans to offer open swim times similar to what the college has offered in the past during the school year. They also plan to host water aerobics during the morning swim session.
