Description: We’re excited to invite alumni, family, and friends to join us for Detroit Tigers Scottish Heritage Night at Comerica Park on Monday, September 21st.
This special event combines Scottish heritage and Tigers baseball for a unique and memorable evening. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., with live Scottish performances beginning immediately as part of the first-ever Scottish Heritage Night at Comerica Park. The Detroit Tigers will take on their opponent with the first pitch at 6:40 p.m.
Attendees can purchase discounted tickets and have the option to add an exclusive Scottish x Tigers jersey to their ticket package by selecting “Web GRP Scottish Heritage Night” when choosing their seats.
While Alma College does not have a reserved seating section for this event, guests are welcome to purchase seats anywhere they would like throughout the ballpark. For those interested in sitting near other members of the Alma College community, we recommend selecting seats in Section 149.
This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Scottish heritage, connect with fellow Scots, and enjoy a fun evening at the ballpark with family and friends.

Description: To mark 40 years of health and human performance education, we invite you to an evening of celebration and reconnection. We hope you can join program faculty and students on Wednesday, October 7th, as we gather to introduce the most recent phase in the department’s evolution. Now the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, we are excited to “launch” the KHS major this fall; new name, same excellent interdisciplinary education!
Thanks to the generosity of co-owner and clinical director Terri Cooper MSOT OTRL ’99, the event will be held at Family Tree Therapies in Grand Rapids, MI from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.

The highest honor presented to alumni, these awards recognize alumni who have brought distinction to the College through their professions, have set strong examples for others and have served their communities, as well as exceptional individuals whose contributions similarly reflect the spirit and values of Alma College.

One of the cool things about the education department is that you’re exposed to special education instruction, which I’ve found is pretty rare for someone like me, who is not a special education teacher. It’s really beneficial! You learn a lot about individualized education programs (IEPs), the law, and other things that have helped me in my career.
One of the great things about Alma is that there’s a lot of face-to-face interactions. You develop real relationships with people who have had interesting careers. That allows you to explore what your own future could look like.
