At Alma College, the Kinesiology and Health Sciences (KHS) program empowers you to explore the science of health and human performance, from the body’s cellular functions to its impact on individuals and society. You’ll gain in-depth knowledge of the musculoskeletal, nervous, and other organ systems while developing practical skills such as assessing health and fitness data and creating effective exercise prescriptions.

Alma’s KHS graduates excel in fields including physical and occupational therapy, athletic training, medicine, physician assistant studies, optometry, dentistry, public health, cardiac rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning. Graduates leave ready for internships, entry-level roles, or advanced study in areas such as rehabilitation (PT/OT/AT), medicine (MD/DO/PA), and biomedical research.

Students in this program also benefit from the support of the Pre-Health Professions Committee (PHPC), a team of expert faculty and administrators who provide mentorship, application guidance, and personalized pathways into competitive professional and graduate programs.
