For Faculty and Staff

Student success after Alma begins right here on campus, with faculty and staff partnerships.

Post an on-campus student job

All on-campus supervisors who are looking to hire a student employee must complete the Student Job form located under “Other Forms” on Inside Alma. Once the form is completed, it will be routed to Career and Personal Development staff to post on Handshake. Received submissions are typically posted within two business days. Supervisors will receive a confirmation email when the posting is made.

Applications (including resumes) will be automatically emailed to the contacts listed in the form by Handshake for consideration.

As a part of the hiring process, hiring managers are expected to complete the following:

  • Review all applications received by the application deadline
  • Interview selected candidates
  • Follow up with all applicants as to the status of the position once filled
  • Once an applicant is selected, fill out the Supervisor Authorization Form in the Inside Alma portal and it will automatically submit Financial Services. They will reach out to the applicant for any additional paperwork needed and notify you when they are approved to begin work.
