Community service work-study positions are available off campus in the Alma area.
Listed below are examples of community service positions that students who have work-study as part of their financial aid package can apply for.
Examples:
- Alma Public Schools – After-school program with academic mentoring, recreation, and enrichment programs
- America Reads/Math Counts Tutoring at various locations – within Alma Public Schools and the Head Start Program
- Big Brothers Big Sisters Program – Mentoring Coordinator
- United Way – Special Project Coordinator
Other positions can be established with nonprofit service agencies.
