For many students, the idea of attending college can feel distant until they set foot on a campus.
That’s why Alma College offers group visits for high schools, churches, youth organizations, and community groups. These visits give students an opportunity to experience college firsthand, ask questions, and begin imagining themselves as future college students.
A campus visit can be transformative. Students who may have never considered a private college often discover a welcoming community, small class sizes, and opportunities they didn’t realize were available. They see where students live and learn, meet current Scots, and gain a better understanding of what college life is really like.
At Alma, group visits are designed to be engaging, informative, and flexible. Depending on a group’s interests and schedule, visits may include a student-led campus tour, admissions and financial aid presentations, conversations with faculty and staff, and opportunities to interact with current students.
Just as importantly, these visits can help students and families understand the financial side of higher education.
Many students are surprised to learn that a private college education may be more affordable than they expected. Alma College is committed to helping students navigate scholarships, grants, and financial aid opportunities that can make college attainable.
For students planning to enroll in Fall 2026, there’s an additional incentive to visit campus. Students who complete a campus visit and file the FAFSA are eligible to receive $4,000 in awards, providing meaningful support as they prepare for college.
Community leaders, educators, pastors, youth directors, and alumni all play an important role in helping students explore their futures. By organizing a group visit, they can provide young people with an opportunity to learn about higher education in a welcoming environment and gain confidence about the possibilities ahead.
Whether your group is made up of high school students exploring their options, youth group members beginning to think about life after graduation, or community members interested in learning more about college opportunities, Alma College would love to welcome you to campus.
The first step is simple: gather a group and let us help create an experience tailored to your students’ interests and goals.
