POSITION SUMMARY:

The Political Science Department at Alma College in Alma, Michigan invites applicants for a two-year full-time Instructor (MA completed) or Lecturer (PhD completed) of Political Science position beginning August 2024 for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years.

The department seeks applicants with at least a Master’s degree in comparative politics, with a preference for applicants with a background in quantitative research and teaching.  We invite applications from scholars across all geographic areas and/or thematic specialties. Successful applicants will be able to contribute engaging topics courses in our political science major, an introductory statistics course, as well as courses in Alma’s CORE curriculum. Candidates with evidence of strong teaching in engaging pedagogies preferred. The teaching load for this position is six courses throughout the academic year.
