Biography
Lisa Parsons has 30 years of secondary education teaching experience in science and mathematics. She currently holds DC, EX, DX certification and is beginning her 31st year teaching Chemistry.
B.S. Chemistry, Mathematics, Natural Science, Secondary Education, Alma College
M.A. Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Mathematics, Central Michigan University
An additional +30 credits in Instruction and Curriculum design from Central Michigan University, Marygrove College and Colorado State University – Pueblo.
Science Education PhD candidate at Western Michigan University.

Recent Work and Accomplishments
Lisa has been recognized as the American Chemical Society Outstanding Chemistry Teacher and the United Way of Gratiot County Outstanding Teacher.
She has participated in Central Michigan University’s Engineering Research Experience for Teachers; Provided instruction at Alma College’s e-STEM summer science camps; Collaborated with elementary teachers by coordinating a peer-teaching program in which high school chemistry students delivered hands-on science lessons to younger students; Presented at NSTA, MSTA, and ASEE.
