Cristy L. Omans

I am proud to call the Alma community home my entire life and have had the privilege of serving at Alma College for the past eight years. Working in admissions has given me a firsthand appreciation for the incredible opportunities our college and community provide. Alma has offered me a true sense of belonging, not only as an employee, but also as a parent. Watching my two sons thrive as Alma students and now alumni has made my connection to the College even more meaningful.

The most rewarding part of my role is seeing others succeed. I find great fulfillment in supporting the growth and development of my team, and I take tremendous pride in helping prospective students and their families navigate the college search process with confidence. Being a small part of their journey to finding the right fit is both a privilege and a joy.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 27 years, my two amazing sons, and the wonderful women they have brought into our family. My ideal day includes a good book by the pool or at the beach or spending time outdoors with my three energetic German Shorthaired Pointers, provided it’s not too cold.
