Brian J. Doyle is an associate professor of biology and biochemistry. Over the past several years, he has been part of a project to collect plants from the Alma College Ecological Station and build a library of plant extracts for biological and chemical analysis. Many of these plants have been used in Native American traditional medicine to treat a wide range of ailments, some of which are sources of modern pharmaceutical drugs.
