Do you have a passion — or a burning question?

At Alma, you’ll have the opportunity to translate your ideas into hands-on learning from the moment you set foot on campus. Thanks to a generous gift of over $2 million from alumni Lee ’56 and Sally Posey ’56, P-Global empowers between 30 and 40 Alma students to “live urgently” each year.

You can use the award to contribute to addressing a transboundary issue through volunteer work, gain critical hands-on experience in an internship or perform internationally-focused research that takes your learning to the next level.

Where Can P-Global Take Me?

Where Can P-Global Take Me?

P-Global can take you just about anywhere! Past awardees have traveled to Uganda to mentor youth, collaborated with groups protecting indigenous people against human trafficking in Nepal and worked to address food insecurity through an internship with the U.S. Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome.

P-Global also leads to sustained relationships — and lasting change. In 2015, Alma students led the charge to fundraise for the construction of the Makankisa Child Care Center in Yele, Sierra Leone, to support orphans of the 2014 Ebola outbreak.

To date, more than 450 students have used P-Global funding to travel to 49 countries on five different continents. Regardless of where P-Global takes you, this life-altering opportunity helps every student who participates find their path to living a meaningful life.
