You get to work with faculty members not only in a classroom but in a laboratory space. You can really get a good sense on how you do different techniques and what’s out there in the field. For me, especially in the exercise science major, realizing that I could actually contribute something new was really inspiring. It was exciting to think that I might be able to be successful in this field and add new knowledge to it.
