As a new media major, you’ll work with a faculty advisor to curate an academic pathway that reflects your passions.
You’ll use film, audio and animation to tell immersive stories. You’ll design video games, create websites and leverage social media to make an impact. And you’ll analyze the social, cultural and ethical implications of emerging and digital media.
You’ll enhance your resume, too. All new media majors complete an internship and a capstone project where they apply their specialized talents to a practical problem. Students have used this opportunity to produce podcasts, build brands and devise video or tabletop games.
In addition, our Spring Term courses have included filmmaking and production classes in locations such as Italy, Croatia and Malta.
