Program Highlights
The Computer Game Programming major at Alma College offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to build both technical skills and creative insights. After taking introductory writing, basic programming and data structures courses, students approach game programming through intermediate courses.
In addition, students complete their studies with a capstone project applying their accumulated knowledge in a comprehensive, practical project that showcases their proficiency and innovation in game design. Other required and optional courses are available across various departments to enrich the learning experience.
Students will become proficient in combining design, visual artistry, and technical skills, including sound and music integration. The program is committed to “Disciplinary Expertise” within an “Interdisciplinary Context of Learning,” and upholds values of
