What's New?

  • * Happy Anniversary Susan Cross!

July 7, 2014 marks the 15th anniversary at Alma College for Susan Cross.  Susan has accomplished a great deal during these 15 years.  She came to Alma College with academic library experience in Interlibrary Loan and brought many helpful ideas with her.  She has been a part of many changes in resource sharing during her years here.  In 2005, Susan helped implement MeLCat, a statewide service which includes nearly 500 Michigan libraries, academic, public and K-12 schools. She also has recently learned and is using WorldShare, an international resource sharing system.  Susan stresses service in all that she does to assist the Alma College Community and prides herself on providing quality service at the lowest cost possible.  Please join us in thanking Susan for her years of valuable service!

  • * Happy Anniversary Angie and Marcus!

Two of our librarians joined the Alma College Library staff on July 1, Angie Kelleher in 2003 and Marcus Richter in 2009.

Angie earned her masters degree in library science from Wayne State University in 2003 and began working at Alma, where she oversees the circulation and interlibrary loan departments. She teaches library instruction sessions and library research classes, and she works one-on-one with students.  In between all of that Angie also finds time to further her research agenda and recently presented at a conference in Estonia.

Marcus joined us five years ago and quickly assimilated into the Alma College culture.  In addition to his duties working with the library catalog, Marcus teaches an FYS each year, advanced library research, many library instruction sessions and courses in the Religion Department when needed. He enjoys interacting with students in all of these courses.

Please join us in thanking both Angie and Marcus for their years of service.
