The Student Congress shall protect individual rights and express the opinions and interests of the Alma students. They shall serve as a means of effective and just communication between all members of the Alma community though this service.
Student Congress is an organization on campus which represents students. Organizations recognized by Student Congress send student representatives to each meeting, providing a venue for students to be involved and informed about campus changes.
The Executive Council also runs Student Affairs meetings where students may express their concerns about campus and work towards change. These meetings are informed by.
Student Congress is run by the Executive Council, which is comprised of the students representing President, Vice-president, Treasurer, Secretary and Parliamentarian of the student body. Details about these positions, their responsibilities and the election process are present in the constitution.
Dr. Karl Rishe is the Vice President of Student Life, and the administrative advisor to Student Congress.
Student Congress meets biweekly on Mondays in the Tyler Van Dusen Commons at 7:00 p.m.**
