Safe Zone Training Request

Would you like to have Safe Zone training for your organization, team or department? We’re happy to offer trainings for anyone who would like to make our campus a more welcoming and understanding place for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Safe Zone Training equips participants with the concrete skills and resources needed to be an ally to students and colleagues of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. At the end of the training, participants can choose to become a designated member of a visible support network that is inclusive and welcoming of all members of the Alma College community.

Safe Zone Training can be tailored specifically to faculty, departments, staff, students, teams or student organizations. If you would like to request Safe Zone training, please complete the form below. We ask that you make your submission at least three weeks in advance to allow us to prepare accordingly. We also ask that you secure a location and technology set-up or create a virtual meeting prior to the workshop. Safe Zone training generally takes about three hours to complete, and we work to accommodate your scheduling needs.

Safe Zone training is offered to any organization or group on campus with a desire to increase their awareness of issues facing the LGBTQ+ community and how to better be an ally.
