Alma’s KCP Mentor Program provides mentors for first year students who would like mentoring while navigating college and all it has to offer: the academic, social, and financial aspects. First year students who sign up for the program are partnered with peer mentors and receive advice about college success and campus resources.
Meet a KCP Mentee
Madeline McDonnell, class of 2020, is a first year mentee majoring in Integrative Physiology and Health Science and minoring in Chemistry. After graduation, Madeline plans on continuing her education to become a Neonatal Pharmacist. Madeline enjoys spending time with her mentor, Kaila Black ’17, during their weekly lunch dates. In addition to KCP, Madeline is on the Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field team and is involved in the Central Michigan Youth for Christ Campus Life program.
“My mentor Kaila is amazing. She has helped me learn that at Alma College you are able to have everything that you could ever want if you manage your time well,” Madeline stated, “She is also an amazing support system for me”.
