About the Camp
This ecumenical camp is intended for people who want to explore their gifts, talents, and inclinations for worship leadership and is open to all instrumentalists, vocalists, tech people, and future teachers and preachers.
Rev. Dr. Andrew Pomerville, Alma College’s Chaplain and Director of Spiritual Life, and student worship leaders from the Alma College Chapel programs will lead small group workshops, classes, and seminars on music leadership, worship organization, biblical interpretation, preaching, and the history and theology of worship in Christianity.
The camp will conclude with a worship service designed and implemented by the HS campers on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunning Memorial Chapel at Alma College.
During this camp, students will experience:
- Leading music
- Running A/V equipment
- Preaching and public speaking
- Vocal training
- Selecting of liturgy and elements of worship
- How/why/when/where we lead worship as Christians
Participants should include:

This experience costs $180 per student, and includes housing in our newly remodeled residence halls that are at the heart of campus, meals, site materials, and hands-on learning activities.
Deadline to register is July 8, 2019. Please contact us if it is past July 8th and you’re interested in registering for this camp.
