About the Camp
Visual, Musical, Dance, and Technical Arts will be explored in a context of worship planning and leadership. Rev. Dr. Andrew Pomerville, Alma College’s Chaplain and Director of Spiritual Life, and outstanding student worship leaders, will guide attendees in exploring how to utilize their talents, gifts, and inclinations in a variety of worship settings.
The camp will conclude with a worship service designed and implemented by the campers on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunning Memorial Chapel at Alma College.
During this camp, students will experience:
- learning the art of public speaking and preaching (homiletics),
- video technology
- audio mixing
- musical leadership on a variety of instruments and vocal forms
Participants should include:
9th – 12th graders of all denominational backgrounds who want to learn more about exploring their passion for worship, the arts, and leadership.
This experience costs $180 per student, and includes housing in our newly remodeled residence halls that are at the heart of campus, meals, site materials, and hands-on learning activities.
Students who attend camp and ultimately enroll at Alma College will receive a credit of up to $180 on their account October 1 of their first year.
