New York Times (1851-present)

Free electronic access to the New York Times is now available to all members of the Alma College community through a newly established academic site license. This license will grant full access to all New York Times articles from the paper’s inception in 1851 and up to the current day’s paper. All content is searchable and the results may be narrowed by date, type, author and newspaper section. To begin using this valuable resource, you will first need to set up a personal account. You will then be able to access your account on or off campus, via desktop computers and/or mobile devices. Your initial authentication must be done while logged into the College network, either through a hardwired computer or the WiFi on-campus. In the meantime, you can set up your account from an on-campus device by going to www.NYTimes.com/GroupPass and clicking on “Create an Account.” You must enter your valid Alma College email address along with a password. You will then use this account in the future to login from any device.
