This course is an introduction to concepts and methods of biostatistical data analysis and covers the basic methods of quantifying possible effects of risk factors and health interventions on individuals and population groups. The course identifies valid study designs, database management, statistical summaries, and data analysis. Topics covered include: general principles of research design, hypothesis testing, estimation, and quantitative modeling such as t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression, and logistic regression.
