An intensive residency with members of the creative writing community. Activities typically include workshops; professional readings; lectures in literature, theory, and the craft of writing; and discussions of the professional aspects of a writing life, and assignment of a mentor for the second year of MFA study. (Students undertaking the dual genre concentration will have two mentors in their second year of MFA study.)
