Julia Dang spent her time in undergraduate studies working with middle and high school students, mostly in West Michigan. She embarked on two study abroad trips where she was able to teach in local middle and high schools in Ourense, Spain, and Cape Coast, Ghana. She received her degree in Secondary Education and English in 2018. Upon graduating, she went to Torreon, Mexico to teach 9th grade English. After returning to Michigan, she worked as an interventionist paraprofessional at Grand River Preparatory High School, and is now embarking on her Masters of Higher Education Administration degree at Central Michigan. She spent the 2020-2021 school year at Alma College working as the Graduate Assistant for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and has made the transition to the Assistant Director of Diversity and Inclusion during July 2021.
