My Alma education

My Alma college education was very important in my application to MSU CVM, as well as my continued success here. The opportunities (venture grant!) I was offered at Alma, as well as the close connections I was able to make with my professors were vital in me getting accepted. The education I received at Alma prepared me for the rigorous curriculum here in professional school as well.

My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is

My best memory of my time at Alma was being able to travel to Costa Rica for a month for a tropical ecology class. I took Dr. Neuman’s Tropical Ecology sprint term class, where we were able to pick a topic and develop our own experiment. My partner and I chose poison dart frogs and spent our time chasing tiny frogs around the rain forest to test their aggression levels. It was an amazing opportunity to develop my skills as a field researcher, and a great thing to talk about during my application and interview process.
