Office of Alumni Engagement

Cody Neely

My hometown when I was a student was

White Lake, MI

I graduated in

I studied

Business Administration

I currently live in

Westland, MI

I am now

Director of Client Services at AMI Strategies

Since graduating from Alma

I bounced around a couple jobs before finding a fit in AMI Strategies. I also got married at the Chapel on campus and my wife had our first child!

My Alma education

Instilled the value of thinking critically that I use every day to solve obstacles at work.  I gained confidence in myself while at Alma that I had never had before. Without that, I’m sure I wouldn’t hold the leadership role that I do today.  I would advise a new graduate to take your time finding a career that fits you. Finding an environment where you will thrive is as important to employee as it is an employer.

My favorite place(s) on campus included

Definitely the Rock Wall at the rec center.

My favorite professors(s) included

Professor Lemmon and Dr. Cameron.

My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is

I think I’m obligated to say meeting my wife. Other than that, taking trips with the rock climbing club and each class I took with Professor Lemmon.

My off-campus study experience(s) included

A Spring term at a nature center. We spent the month learning and then teaching that material to elementary students.
