Elementary Education and Language Arts

I'm involved in:

Alpha Phi Omega( service VP), Alma College Choir, Pretty in Plaid, Off Kilter (student run choir) Voice Lessons

After I graduate, I plan to:

Do my student teaching and then move somewhere out of Michigan to teach elementary education. My dream grade is 1st grade.

My favorite place on campus is:

My favorite place on campus is the music building. I love going and studying in the lobby because there’s always people in there either singing or playing music.

Some of my favorite professors include:

Dr. Aspinall, Dr. Nichols, Dr. Thelen

So far, my favorite class(es) have been:

Native American Literature, Child Development and Education

My greatest accomplishment at Alma is:

Auditioning for the Alma Choir and singing one of the bigger solos in a solo quartet during the Masterworks concert.

I'd advise an Alma freshman to:

Study hard and complete your work. Don’t put too much on your plate, but find something you enjoy doing and stick with it.

What I like most about studying at Alma is:

I love the opportunities for service learning. Service is a huge part of my life, and I love that I can continue it. I also love that I am able to continue my music career and be involved in so many music opportunities, even though I am not a music major.

My favorite part about living on campus is:

The people you meet. I truly believe the students at Alma are why I love this place so much. Everyone you meet is so nice and welcoming. While we all have our own goal in mind for the future, everyone builds you up and truly wants you to succeed.
