My hometown when I was a student was
I graduated in
Biology and Chemistry
I currently live in
Since graduating from Alma
I went to graduate school in Boston and am now an Epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where I focus on surveillance, sexually transmitted diseases, and antimicrobial resistance.
My Alma education
…served as a solid, well-rounded foundation that launched me into my graduate work and ultimately my public health profession. I would advise a new graduate to break through the ‘bubble’ - try things outside of your boundaries and explore. Life will lead you on paths you didn’t/don’t always expect - be patient, have confidence, and embrace it.
My favorite place(s) on campus included
The chapel, the AXD house, the library.
My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is
…the friendships and the experiences with all friends during my time at Alma and the friendships I have been able to foster many years later
