Ric Heise

My hometown when I was a student was

Detroit, MI

I graduated in

I studied

I currently live in

Taipei, Taiwan

I am now

Teaching English as a second language and learning Chinese

Since graduating from Alma

I have broadened my horizons far greater than I thought I ever would.

My Alma education

allowed me to think critically and approach life from a deeper perspective.  My time at Alma allowed me the cognitive skills to think through my problems to come to quality solutions. My Alma education has given me many of the tools I use daily to be an effective and enjoyable educator to my students. My experience with Alma has shown me many of the things I value and how important it is to pursue them, while bettering myself simultaneously.

My favorite place(s) on campus included

Phi Mu Alpha house, Theta Chi house, and whatever classrooms my favorite teachers were in for class.

My favorite professors(s) included

Dr. Stratton, Dr. Dixon, Maya Dora Lasky, Jon Arlt, and Dr. Messing.

My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is

hard to pick.  They are too numerous to recount here, but all include time spent with life-long friends.
