My hometown when I was a student was:
I graduated from Alma in:
I currently live in:
I am now:
A Registered Nurse at Troy Beaumont Hospital specializing in Labor and Delivery
Since graduating from Alma:
I have grown immensely, learning the ins and outs of the professional world and how to balance personal life with work life. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching myself truly become a nurse, including, of course, becoming completely nocturnal.
My Alma education:
taught me more than just how to be a nurse, but how to be an advocate and a friend to all different kinds of people that I meet on a daily basis.
My favorite place(s) on campus included:
The chapel and the top floor of the library looking out onto Mac Mall.
My favorite professor(s) included:
Dr. (Doc) Nichols, Dr. McKenna, Dr. Luetkemeier
My most vivid/best memory of my time at Alma is:
all my memories from going on tour 5 times with the Alma Choir, including 2 international tours!
How Alma has helped with my current plan/job/graduate school/etc.:
I have used my connections from Alma College as references on job applications. The immersion clinical that Dr. McKenna arranged for me at the end of nursing school actually landed me my first job!
How I have given back to Alma since graduation
Namedropping! I always recommend Alma College to prospective students.
Advice I would give a new graduate:
Don’t be scared to jump head first into what you truly feel passionate about.
