Student Life

Andrew Pomerville

As the chaplain, I am called to serve the current student body in addition to alumni, faculty, staff, and prospective students. I act as a spiritual facilitator for people of all faith backgrounds, offering a confidential ear, and providing support to the whole Alma College community. Through regular on campus worship services, interfaith dialogue, and activities meant to support spiritual growth, I help meet the religious needs people from a variety of traditions, cultures, and religious identities.

Ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in 2007, I previously served as the senior pastor for The Peoples Church of East Lansing (2011-2018), pastor for Church in the Hills in Bellaire, MI (2007-2011) and chaplain to the East Lansing Police Department (2014-2018) and Hospice of NW Michigan (2009-2011).
