Model Rockets

Students are given the following materials:

• B4-6 or similar size rocket engine
• Three different nose cones
• Two different shaped fins
• Two rocket bodies

Additionally we provide the class with:

• Launching platform
• Scissors
• Glue
• Sketch materials

We introduce students with the basic physical principles that govern rocket flying, present the materials and briefly talk about the possible combinations and compromises that each elements (noses, fin, body) have on the rocket. The students, by teams, then build their rockets, decorate them and proceed to launch.
