Tara Bentley

I graduated from Alma in 2015. During my time here as a student, I worked within the Theatre department as a Stage Manager for our productions, as well as in the scene and costume shops. Although I never appeared onstage, I always made sure to be involved in every production. I was also involved in Kappa Iota, the local sorority here on campus, and in Alpha Psi Omega, the Theatre National Honorary.

Between my Junior and Senior year at Alma, I had the opportunity to work at Interlochen Performing Art Center Summer Camp with Alumni Scott Harman as a stage manager. Since graduating, I have worked at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH as a Team Lead Technician in the Live Entertainment department for one Halloweekends season and one Summer season.

Even though I loved working out in the professional world, I am very excited to come back home to Alma and become part of the department once again as the intern. I’m really looking forward to seeing this department and program grow.

Educational background

Alma College 2011-2015 Bachelor of Arts in Theatre

In my role at Alma, I get most excited when...

I see students take up a passion for Theatre. It’s amazing to see the connections they make within themselves and realize their potential as individuals.

What I love most about Alma College is...

How close the campus community is. I loved this school as a student, and I feel extremely lucky to be able to work here and give the students the same great experience that I had.

I chose to work at Alma College because...

I have a connection with the students, since I was once a student here myself. I look to instill in them the confidence and self worth that I found within the Theatre program and within the school itself.
