Now at George Washington University
I majored in New Media Studies at Alma College. Each of my classmates had their own interests and strong points, which make their works special. Meanwhile, our professors kept encouraging us to have a bold dream but also work on the small things. During those two years as a student, I joined several clubs and fraternities, and also had an on-campus job. These experiences gave me a chance to meet new people with different cultural background. I’m now studying at George Washington University as a graduate student. Those two years’ study gives me a solid foundation for graduate study.
My home country is
I'm involved in
tutoring for Chinese language. I also attend the International Club (IClub) meetings and events.
I chose Alma College because
I’m part of a 2+2 transfer degree program with Alma and my university, Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU). I also wanted to experience study abroad in the U.S.
The Alma community is
really friendly. People here are very helpful. Learn how to communicate better with people. Here, there are good relationships between students and teachers. It’s a good life here and you’re free to learn anything.
I'd advise a new student becoming a Scot
to just be yourself and be nice to others.
My accomplishments while attending Alma have been
volunteering in the community, speaking and writing English better, working with art in different forms of media.
My professional career goals are
to attend Columbia University in New York for my master’s degree.
