When she started playing soccer as a child, Kailey Vlug already had her eye on the prize: playing the sport she loved at the collegiate level. Now she’s a leader on the Alma College women’s soccer team. Vlug, a business administration major, is a student-athlete who excels both on the field and in the classroom.

“The academics can be challenging, and they really push you to be the best you can be,” she says. “Learning to balance soccer and school has taught me time management, and working with people has helped me develop people and communication skills.”
