Public Affairs Students Study Public Policy at the Border

Over Alma’s winter break, Feb. 21-28, a group of Public Affairs students are working in southern Arizona and in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico on migration issues.

Over Alma’s winter break, Feb. 21-28, a group of Public Affairs students are working in southern Arizona and in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico on migration issues.  As with so many Public Affairs projects, students get hands-on experience in public policy, sitting-in on Federal deportation hearings, meeting Border Patrol agents, and working in a soup-kitchen in Mexico that feeds recently deported people.
