Backpack Filmmaking Course Heads to Italy

Students take on the difficult challenge of trying to combine gelato and jump cuts.

NMS students will live out of their backpacks for a month and travel across Italy in an Advanced Filmmaking course this May. Students will explore the camera through different theories of travel and learn to tell a story while moving through Bologna, Venice, Abruzzo, Sicily and Rome. They will also attend an opera, go to a Serie A soccer game and work with a non-profit organization.

This course is a part of Alma College’s spring term program and counts towards the NMS major.
