Admissions Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Reporting to the Senior Director, Enrollment Operations & Financial Aid Counseling, the Admissions Communications and Marketing Manager coordinates and manages recruitment communications, including electronic and print, for the Admissions Office. The individual in this role will also serve as the primary liaison with the Communication and Marketing Office. Primary responsibilities include writing content for a broad range of marketing platforms; tracking and maintaining print material inventory; and working with staff across campus to maintain the accuracy of all admissions recruitment information and materials. The person in
this role will help coordinate undergraduate and graduate recruitment tactics,online
recruitment strategies, print communications, social media, and website content and design review in close collaboration with the college’s Communication and Marketing Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with other members of the college community, including the
undergraduate and graduate admissions staff, student affairs, financial aid, academic affairs, housing, registrar, alumni and advancement, and the college’s Marketing and Communications team on print and electronic publication/communication initiatives.
• Manage the inventory, delivery, and distribution of undergraduate and graduate
recruitment materials. Collaborate with Admissions, Facilities, the Mail room, Printing Services, and Communication and Marketing Office to ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate location.
• Write targeted, accurate, marketing content for print, email, web and social media. Provide proofreading within the office as needed.
• Create, edit, and maintain departmental presentations for use by staff in recruitment events and activities.
• Create and manage content for prospective students and supporters via the Slate CRM system.
• Provide recruitment content for the main college social media platforms, including event registration/information, administering chat rooms, and targeted messaging within the admissions cycle.
• Annually update admissions informational materials including all promotional items, the recruitment viewbook, academic materials, scholarship and financial aid information, housing information, and more.
• Write, edit, and coordinate targeted domestic and international communications and other recruiting messages to prospective students, high school counselors, and community college counselors.
• Assist undergraduate and graduate admissions staff in editing and developing content for letters, emails, program invitations, tele-counseling phone scripts, advertisements, brochures, presentations, as well as manage communication and publication plans related to print, web, and recruitment events for various student audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Marketing or Higher Education Administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum one year experience in higher education recruitment, e-recruiting, marketing, or communication. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously. Highly
organized and detail oriented. Skilled at multitasking. Ability to work within a team and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Communication, Higher Education Administration, or Marketing. Experience in project management. Experience working with undergraduate students and/ or admissions/recruitment programs. Knowledgeable about creating/maintaining social media campaigns and pages on outlets such as Facebook and Twitter. Experience training and managing/ delegating tasks to student employees.
