Donor Services Associate

Alma College currently is accepting applications for the position of Donor Services Associate.

Position Summary:
The Donor Services Associate plays a key role in the execution of the college’s donor stewardship activities.


Essential Job Functions:
- Manage endowed fund donor communications.
- Collaborate with the president’s office to provide timely donor acknowledgement for major gifts.
- Handle production and distribution of gift acknowledgement letters.
- Lead scanning and archiving initiative for the sector.
- Handle weekly and monthly gift reporting to academic and athletic departments; produce the annual donor honor roll.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of naming opportunities; work with staff to update and produce materials for recognition and stewardship.
- Support event production.
- Serve as primary backup for gift entry processes.
- Serve as primary backup for advancement e-mailboxes.
- Serve as part of the team responsible for processing database updates including address changes, status changes.
- In conjunction with the supervisor of this position, develop and execute an annual plan.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be organized and goal oriented, with a high level of initiative and energy, and the ability to attend to detail.
- Must be adept at problem-solving and using judgment in situations requiring independent initiative and tact.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
- Must have the ability to implement and maintain quality control standards.
- Computer literacy skills including Word and Excel.
- Must have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.

-Must have the ability to perform basic office functions.

- Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary; an understanding that vacation and personal time off during the month of June will be limited.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Colleague (or a comparable client relationship management [CRM] system).
