Visiting Assistant Professor of French

The World Languages and Cultures Department at Alma College invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable, visiting assistant professor position in French. Duties will begin in August, 2019.

Required qualifications: The successful candidate will be enthusiastically willing and qualified to teach all levels of French, from 100 to upper level, including French and Francophone culture. The successful candidate will also demonstrate dedication to institutional service and inter-/intra-department cooperation as the position includes some program-related service commitments, including (but not limited to) supervising and coordinating student teaching assistants and the French Club; and will be expected to promote the French program in various departmental activities. Experience teaching in higher education and Ph.D. or A.B.D. in French/Francophone studies (or related field) required.
