Festival of Carols Celebrates Traditional Music of Christmas

The annual Festival of Carols at Alma College features the traditional music and sacred carols of the Christmas season — a choral holiday tradition spanning 24 years.

The approximately 100 members of the Alma College Glee Club, College Chorale and Alma Choir, directed by Will Nichols and accompanied by pianist Tony Patterson and select instrumentalists, will present the 2017 Festival of Carols at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 in the Remick Heritage Center, Presbyterian Hall.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for seniors 62 and up and youth 18 and under, and free for Alma College faculty, staff and students. Seating is reserved. Call (989) 463-7304 for ticket information.

The program will include “Glory to God” from “Messiah” along with “Sussex Carol,” “Go Tell it on the Mountain,” “See Dat Babe,” “Ding! Dong! Merrily on High” and much more.
