Beginning with the winter 2018 term, MMCC students who have an interest in transferring to Alma in the fall may enroll in one Alma College course at the MMCC tuition rate.

“Alma College has a great relationship with MMCC, and this is a way to honor that relationship by providing an affordable opportunity for MMCC students to experience Alma College for themselves,” says Alma College President Jeff Abernathy. “This provides students with a chance to see if Alma is the right fit as they look to transfer to a four-year institution.”

The MMCC students at Alma will be enrolled as guest students and have access to all Alma College facilities and resources as part of the program.

“We are pleased to be working with Alma College to help students continue their education,” says MMCC President Christine Hammond. “Students who earn a degree at MMCC perform well when they transfer, and Alma College is making that transition more affordable. The collaboration between Alma and Mid demonstrates our mutual commitment to educational access and student success.”

MMCC students interested in the program may contact Nolan Lienhart, transfer coordinator at Alma College, (989) 463-7324,, for information about course registration.
