Holiday Dance Concert Highlights Student Choreography

Program showcases contemporary, modern and lyrical styles of dance.

Dance students at Alma College have united to choreograph and host a holiday dance concert showcasing contemporary, modern and lyrical styles of dance.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Remick Heritage Center, Dance Studio. Admission is free and open to the public. Seating is reserved and limited. Call (989) 463-7304 for ticket information.

Monetary donations to the dance department will be accepted at the door, and holiday desserts will be served during intermission.

Raffle tickets and dance merchandise also will be sold to benefit the dance honorary Pi Delta Chi. These proceeds allow members to promote dance in the community and attend the American Collegiate Dance Association conference in April.

The student choreographers include Brighton sophomore Katy Todd, Fenton sophomore Allison Muenzer, Alma junior Shanell Ramos, Carson City senior Kelsey Dennis, Indianapolis junior Sadie Gelb and Laura Lowe. The show is directed by Dennis and Lowe.
