Career Week Offers Work Sessions, Alumni Connections
The “Put Great Scots to Work” career and internship referral program invites alumni and friends to share employment opportunities with fellow Scots.
The enhanced slate of activities, which runs from Jan. 27 through Feb. 8, builds on the success of the college’s first-ever Career Week last fall, when students engaged in 34 career programs more than 1,500 collective times — a duplicated count meaning that some students went to more than one program.
Career Week includes such events as Alumni Speed Interviews, Insurance Day, Etiquette Dinner, Career Bootcamps and the Internship and Summer Job Fair.
Andria Baker Ettinger ’12 networks with current student-athletes following a Career Week panel discussion.
“Since the fall Career Week, students have told me repeatedly how much they gleaned from these networking opportunities with alumni,” she says.
The new “Put Great Scots to Work” referral program, a facet of the Alma Ambassador Program, invites alumni and friends to share job and internship opportunities that they are aware of with the Alma community.
