The Julius Chatman Living Learning Community (JCLLC) is a community for first-year Campbell Scholars Program participants. The JCLLC is housed in Gelston Hall. The purpose of the Campbell Scholars Program is to foster leadership development, a sense of belonging, and provide academic, social, and cultural support for first-year students of color and their allies. First-year students accepted into the Campbell Scholars Program will live together in the JCLLC during their first year and continue to participate in the Campbell Scholars Program during their 4 years at Alma College.
JCLLC participants will receive a $250 credit to the Alma bookstore upon acceptance to the program. They will earn a $250 credit to the bookstore upon successful completion of the fall term program requirements and $200 credit to the bookstore upon successful completion of the winter term program requirements.
