ACT presents “The Imaginary Invalid”

7:30pm - 9:30pm EDT October 29

Location: Remick Heritage Center, Strosacker Theatre

In Miles Malleson’s wonderfully funny adaptation of Moliere’s timeless comedy, Argan, a hypochondriac of epic proportions, hatches a plan to get free medical care by marrying his beautiful daughter, Angelica, to a doctor.

The doctor he chooses, however, is a dim-witted charlatan. Fortunately for Angelica, Toinette, Argan’s clever housemaid, manages to expose the doctor (and most of 17th century medicine) as a fraud and, for good measure she unmasks Angelica’s gold-digging wicked stepmother. The laughs are plentiful in this quick paced classic comedy.

Tickets: $15 adults; $7 seniors 62+; Alma College staff, students and youth 18 and under are free; seating is reserved.
