Are you looking to deepen your knowledge of LGBTQIA+ identity and issues? Join us for Safe Zone 201:Race, Gender, and Sexuality. This workshop explores the relationship between race, gender, and sexuality using the framework of intersectionality.
We will center queer and trans people of color to understand how race and racism shape experiences like coming out and transitioning. We will also examine how LGBTQIA+ allies and accomplices can engage in anti-racist practice. Completing a Safe Zone 101 workshop is encouraged but not required. There will be a training on January 26, 2022, 6:30-9:00 PM. If you would like to participate in a Safe Zone 101 workshop, but can’t make the January training, contact Dr. Donnesha Blake at email@example.com.
