We will be inviting Alice Wong, disabled activist and Founding Director of the Disability Visibility Project for Women’s History Month in March. In preparation for her talk, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting a book club that discusses concepts in her book Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century. Join us for our virtual book club meetings on Thursdays: 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, and 3/11 at 4:30-5:30pm. A limited number of books will be available in the CSO. Visit tinyurl.com/almaDV to sign up for our book club! Once you are registered, you will be sent a resource guide for the first part of the book and the link to our virtual book club.

Here’s a pre-reading/introduction resource guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qq7ZkQ8nggT4lxguMN9lWQkb_1rDkHB3NomD0N7SNt8/edit?usp=sharing

Once you’re on the file, you can click “file” -> “Download” then choose the format that works best for you. If you wish to type on the document, I suggest Microsoft Word. If you will print a physical copy, perhaps PDF will be best.
The attached articles, websites, and videos are meant to supplement the book itself, but I don’t expect that you’ll visit all of the links. They’re 100% optional.

Free and open to the campus community
