Author/Speaker Wayne Wiegand: “Part of Our Lives: A People’s History of the American Public Library”

Why do we love our public libraries?  What draws us in and keeps us coming back? The books? The services? The space?  Author Wayne Wiegand will be speaking about his book, “Part of Our Lives: A People’s History of the American Public Library”  and delve into the history of and impact America’s public libraries have had on millions of people across generations.

 

The Alma College History Department and Alma College Library invite you to join us Thursday, November 21, from 7:30 - 9:00 pm in the Tyler-Van Dusen Commons room for this presentation that delves into the history and love of America’s public libraries.  Parking will be available in the Reid-Knox, Heritage, and Grant parking lots, as well as street parking.
